يبدو أن موضة سبيدستر بدأت بالعودة مجددا بعد غياب طويل جدا وهو ما يمكن ملاحظته من خلال أستون مارتن V12 سبيدستر التي تمتاز بعدم وجود زجاج أمامي.
أستون مارتن V12 سبيدستر كانت من إحدى وسائل جذب الزوار لجناح أستون مارتن في معرض جنيف للسيارات لعام 2020 لكن ذلك لم يحدث للأسف، عوضا عن ذلك تم الكشف عنها مباشرة على مواقع الإنترنت وأيضا صفحات مواقع التواصل الإحتماعي.
تحتوي السيارة على محرك مكون من 12 إسطوانة بشكل V12 بسعة 5.2 ليتر ويتصل بزوج من شواحن التيربو، ناتج القوة يبلغ 700 حصان و753 نيوتن متر من عزم الدوران، علبة التروس أوتوماتيكية مكونة من 8 نسب تنقل القوة للعجلات الخلفية.

تم استلهام نمط التصميم من طرازي DB3S و DBR1 وهما سيارتي سباقات من حقبة الخمسينيات من القرن الماضي لكن طبعا مع إضافة اللمسات العصرية والنتيحة سيارة ذات تصميم ساحر.
تبرز الجهة الأمامية من أستون مارتن V12 سبيدستر بفضل شبكة التهوئة التقليدية التي تميز طرازات أستون مارتن والتي تمتاز بحجمها الكبير بجانب وجود فتحات تهوئة على الأطراف ومشتت الهواء في أسفل الصادم الأمامي مما يساعد على توفير أفضل انسيابية ممكنة.
بالطبع تم إضفاء بعض لمسات التميز على غطاء المحرك ويبرز ذلك جليا من خلال وجود الفتحات الصغيرة على الأطراف والفتحة الكبيرة في وسط الغطاء الأمامي مما يضفي التميز المطلوب للتصميم.
الفتحة الكبيرة هي أبرز ما يميز الجهة الجانبية والتي تساعد بدورها في زيادة تدفق الهواء بأفضل صورة ممكنة من الجوانب إلا أن عدم وجود زجاج أمامي يجعل التصميم فريدا بشكل لافت.
تبرز العجلات بقياس 21 بوصة في كلا من الأمام والخلف وتتمتع بتصميم خماسي الأذرع وثنائي التشعبات، يمكن من خلال الأذرع ملاحظة إسطوانات الكبح الكبيرة الحجم والتي يبلغ قياسها في الأمام 410 ملم فيما أن نظيرتها الخلفية هي بقياس 365 ملم علما أنها مكونة من مزيج ما بين ألياف الكربون والسيراميك.
تتميز الجهة الخلفية من أستون مارتن V12 سبيدستر بتصميم لا يقل سحرا والسبب هو دمج الجناح الخلفي بالمصابيح الخلفية وهو نمط تصميم لربما لم يظهر منذ فترة قريبة فيما تبرز مخارج العادم المزدوجة في الجهة الوسطية السفلى من الصادم الخلفي والمحاطة بمشتت الهواء مما يساعد على تدفق الهواء من أسفل السيارة بالطريقة السليمة.
