فورد F-150 SVT لايتنينج بيك اب للسباق والعمل في وقت واحد
لمدة تزيد عن 70 عاما تمكنت سلسلة طرازات F وهي البيك اب من فورد من الصمود بسبب قدرتها على الدوام تلبية ما يرغب به الزبائن دائما، فورد F-150 SVT لايتنينج كان أحد العوامل التي ساعدت في شعبية طراز F-150.
في تسعينيات القرن الماضي اشتعلت منافسة فريدة من نوعها وهي توفير طرازات البيك اب الأمريكية ذات الأداء العالي وهو ما برز من خلال جي إم سي سايكلون وشفروليه SS 454، جاء الرد من خلال فورد F-150 SVT لايتنينج علما أنه إصدار محدود وتم انتاجه على مدى جيلين فقط.
تم انتاج طراز F-150 SVT لايتنينج لأول مرة اعتمادا على قاعدة عجلات الجيل التاسع من ذات الطراز “1992-1997″، ما يميز هذا الطراز أنه كان يحتوي على محرك مكون من 8 إسطوانات بشكل V8 بسعة 5.8 ليتر قادر على انتاج 240 حصان ويوفر عزم دوران يصل لغاية 461 نيوتن متر، نقل القوة كان يتم من خلال علبة تروس أوتوماتيكية مكونة من 4 نسب لكن تم تصميمها لتحمل الأداء العالي من المحرك.
تم الانتاج لهذا الجيل من طراز لايتنينج في الفترة ما بين 1992 ولغاية 1995 بعدد 11563 نسخة علما أنها توفرت بثلاث خيارات من الألوان فقط وهي الأبيض والأسود والأحمر مما ساعد على توفير الطابع الرياضي اللافت بالمقارنة مع بقية الخيارات الأخرى من ذات الطراز.
مع إطلاق الجيل العاشر من طراز F-150 والذي تم انتاجه في الفترة ما بين 1997 ولغاية 2004 عادت تسمية فورد F-150 SVT لايتنينج للحياة مجددا وتحديدا في الفترة ما بين 1999 ولغاية 2004 لكن هذه المرة تم العناية بشكل أفضل بالمكونات كما جرى انتاج 28124 وحدة لكن بأربعة ألوان وهي الأحمر والأبيض والأسود إضافة للأزرق المائل للأسود.
مع هذا الجيل من طراز F-150 SVT لايتنينج كان المحرك مكونا من 8 إسطوانات بشكل V8 بسعة 5.4 ليتر لكنه كان أيضا يتصل بشاحن سوبرتشارجر، بفضل ذلك بلغ ناتج القوة 360 حصان وعزم الدوران يصل لغاية 597 نيوتن متر في الفترة ما بين 1999-2000 ومن ثم ارتفعت لغاية 380 حصان و610 نيوتن متر من عزم الدوران، علبة التروس أيضا أوتوماتيكية مكونة من 4 نسب لكن تم تطوير مكوناتها لتحمل الأداء العالي وأيضا نطام المحور التفاضلي الخلفي.
في الوقت الحالي أصبح طراز فورد F-150 SVT لايتنينج وبفضل محدودية أعداده من أحد أهداف جامعي السيارات المحدودة الإنتاج ومن الممكن ارتفاع أسعاره في المستقبل لكن طبعا بشرط وجود كامل القطع الأصلية.
