كارلوس تافاريز يفوز بجائزة أفضل شخصية في جائزة سيارة العام 2020
حفل جائزة سيارة العام هو من أجل الإعلان عن السيارات الفائزة عن فئتها إلا أنه توجد فئة أفضل شخصية في مجال صناعة السيارات، تمكن كارلوس تافاريز من الفوز بهذه الجائزة ضمن فئات جائزة سيارة العام 2020 وهو إنجاز يستحق التباهي به.
كان من المفترض أن يستلم كارلوس تافاريز الجائزة التي فاز بها خلال فعاليات معرض نيويورك للسيارات لعام 2020 إلا أنه بسبب تأجيل المعرض لمدة 4 شهور بسبب فيروس كورونا لم يتم بعد التطرق إلى الوسيلة التي سيتم بها تسليم الجائزة بعد وربما يتم ذلك من خلال البث المباشر.
يشغل السيد تافاريز منصب الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة بيجو ستروين “PSA”، السبب في فوزه بهذه الجائزة يعود إلى قيادته المميزة للمجموعة مما ساهم في تحقيق الأرباح والعودة إلى دائرة المنافسة بالشكل الصحيح وهو أمر طبيعي يدفع إلى الفوز بهذه الجائزة التي تخضع لعدة معايير يجب اجتيازها مجتمعة وذلك يشمل كافة فئات الجوائز.
يجدر الذكر أن مجموعة “PSA” كانت قد ضمت كلا من علامتي أوبل وفوكسهول تحت لوائها منذ عام 2017 حيث أن ملكيتهما كانت تعود إلى جنرال موتورز سابقا منذ فترة طويلة وهو الحل السليم عوضا عن إطفاء الشعلة كما كان حال علامة هولدن مطلع عام 2020 الحالي.
بدأ كارلوس تافاريز بالعمل لدى مجموعة PSA منذ عام 2014 وهو العام ذاته الذي كانت تعاني المجموعة من أزمة مالية لكن بفضل القيادة المميزة تمكن من إنقاذ المجموعة بل وأيضا القدرة على تحقيق الأرباح وهو الأمر الذي ساهم بشكل لافت في الفوز بجائزة أفضل شخصية في مجال صناعة السيارات ضمن منافسات جائزة سيارة العام 2020.
المفاجأة الصادمة هي أنه قبل فترة وجيزة تم الإعلان عن تأجيل معرض نيويورك للسيارات لعام 2020 بسبب تفشي فيروس كورونا بشكل لافت داخل ولاية نيويورك حيث أنها تسجل حاليا ثاني أعلى معدل إصابات على مستوى بقية الولايات.
في المقابل سيتم الكشف عن السيارات الفائزة في فئتها ضمن منافسات الجائزة ذاتها خلال شهر أبريل/نيسان لعام 2020 لكن لم يتأكد ذلك بعد خاصة في ظل تفشي فيروس كورونا الذي تم الإعلان حديثا أنه وباء عالمي.
