تتمتع أودي R8 V10 بمحرك قوي يساعد في تحقيق الأداء المرغوب منه لكن بالطبع لإرضاء الزبائن الذين لا يكتفون بناتج القوة الذي توفره الشركة الصانعة فإن شركات التعديل حاضرة لهذه الغاية.
أعلنت شركة ويلز اند مور “Wheels and more” عن توفير حزمة تعديلات جديدة لطراز أودي R8 V10 من أجل استخراج المزيد من القوة من المحرك المميز الموجود في الجهة الوسطية من السيارة.
تم تركيب زوج من شواحن التيربو على المحرك المكون من 10 إسطوانات بشكل V10 بسعة 5.2 ليتر، بفضل ذلك بات ناتج القوة يبلغ 1035 حصان فيما أن عزم الدوران بات يصل لغاية 999 نيوتن متر مما يساعد على توفير أداء يمكن وصفة بالخارق جدا.
بالطبع تم توفير نظام تبريد متطور للغاية لسائل تبريد المحرك في أودي R8 V10 وأيضا شواحن التيربو من أجل ضمان عمل المكونات بالشكل السليم وعدم حدوث أية مشاكل ميكانيكية محتملة للمحرك، بجانب ذلك يوجد نظام عادم يساعد في توفير هدير مميز للسيارة يليق بالزيادة الكبيرة في ناتج القوة.
بجانب ذلك فقد جرى أيضا التعديل على جهاز التعليق من أجل المساعدة على توفير الثبات والتماسك المطلوبين سواء لإجتياز المنعطفات أو أثناء القيادة بسرعات عالية وهو أمر لا بد منه عند زيادة قوة المحرك بفارق كبير.
بفضل هذه الزيادة الهائلة على قوة المحرك في أودي R8 V10 فإن التسارع من 0-100 كم/س أصبح يتم خلال 2.7 ثانية كما أن السرعة القصوى باتت تبلغ 347 كم/س وهي أرقام أداء تتيح التفوق حتى على سيارات لامبورجيني نفسها، تبلغ التكلفة 88 ألف دولار وهو ما قد يعتبره البعض نوعا من الجنون.
التعديلات الخارجية التي تم توفيرها للسيارة تقتصر على التزويد بعجلات قياس 20 بوصة في الأمام و21 بوصة في الخلف ومغلفة بإطارات كونتينينتال المصممة لتحمل الأداء العالي، يبلغ سعر هذه العجلات 15 ألف دولار.
ربما تعتبر هذه التعديلات من الوسائل التي تتيح التمتع بأقصى قدر من القوة يمكن استخراجه من محرك طراز R8 حيث أنه من المحتمل أن يتم إحالة الجيل الحالي للتقاعد واستبداله بآخر يحتوي على محرك كهربائي بالكامل وهو ما قد يثير استياء البعض الذي اعتادو على التمتع بالهدير الصاخب الذي ينتجه المحرك.
