بي ام دبليو الفئة السابعة E32 : بداية التحول لتوفير الفخامة الممزوجة بالطابع الرياضي
تمكنت الفئة السابعة من بي ام دبليو من اثبات حضورها في فئة السيارات الفارهة بشكل ملحوظ عبر أجيالها حيث تمكنت من اثبات إمكانية السيارات الفارهة بالقدرة على التحلي بالطابع الرياضي بالتزامن مع توفير مقصورة فارهة للغاية وهو ما بدأ بالظهور مع بي ام دبليو الفئة السابعة E32 .
بي ام دبليو الفئة السابعة E32 هي من السيارات التي بدأت تصبح أحد أهداف جامعي السيارات الكلاسيكية خاصة التي يشير عداد المسافات بها لإجتياز مسافات قليلة.
تم انتاج هذا الجيل من طراز الفئة السابعة في الفترة الواقعة ما بين 1986 – 1994 حيث أنها تميزت عن جيلها السابق من خلال توفير مقصورة أكثر رحابة وتتوفر بالديكور الخشبي إلا أن البعض ينتقد وجود عصا الكابح اليدوي بجانب السائق عوضا عن نظيرتها الموجودة في مرسيدس-بنز التي يتم سحبها، جرى انتاج 311068 وحدة منها.
كانت السيارة تحتوي على الإبتكارات التقنية المميزة مثل نظام التحكم بالجر “ASC” بالإضافة إلى توفر خيار إضاءة زينون منذ عام 1991 وأيضا خيار التحكم بعمل ماسحات الزجاج للعمل على فترات متقطعة عند عدم الحاجة لعملها بشكل مستمر.
من ضمن وسائل الرفاهية التي توفرت وجود هاتف في السيارة وأيضا فاكس وكان ذلك يتم على الطلب كما أن هذا الجيل هو الأول الذي توفر بإمكانية التصفيح ضد الرصاص لحماية الشخصيات البارزة.
أبرز ما ميز هذا الجيل من بي ام دبليو الفئة السابعة هو توفير محرك مكون من 12 إسطوانة بشكل V12 وهو ما شكل ضغطا كبيرا على مرسيدس-بنز الفئة S حيث أنه أصبح هناك منافسين يوفران خيار V12 من المحركات، المنافس الآخر هو جاكوار XJ.
بلغت سعة محرك V12 في بي ام دبليو الفئة السابعة E32 5.0 ليتر وتمكن من انتاج 295 حصان “300 في بعض الأسواق” وتوفير عزم دوران يصل لغاية 450 نيوتن متر وهو ما مكن من توفير أداء مميز لمن يريد ذلك في سيارة صالون فارهة.
خيارات المحرك السداسية الإسطوانات كانت حاضرة في بي ام دبليو الفئة السابعة E32 حيث أن الخيار الأساسي كان بسعة 3.0 ليتر وينتج 185 حصان تحت تسمية “730i/730iL” فيما أن الخيار الأكبر كان بسعة 3.5 ليتر “735i/735iL” وينتج 205 حصان في الفترة ما بين 1986-1992.
خيار V8 من المحركات ظهر عام 1992، خيار 730 متوفرا بـ8 إسطوانات منذ العام ذاته وهو ما ساعد في انتاج 215 حصان ويتم تمييزه من خلال تسمية “730 v8” بالمقارنة مع المحرك السداسي الإسطوانات فيما أن الخيار الآخر كان بسعة 4.0 ليتر وبقوة 282 حصان وهو ما عزز الخيارات أمام زبائن العلامات البافارية.
خيارات علبة التروس كانت يدوية من 5 نسب أو أوتوماتيكية مكونة من 4 أو 5 نسب، يشير حرف L لخيار قاعدة العجلات الطويلة علما أن ذلك هو السمة التي تميز الطرازات الفارهة من السيارات أي توفير خيار قاعدة العجلات الإعتيادية والطويلة.
