لينكون MKZ سوف تحال للتقاعد رسميا اعتبارا من صيف عام 2020
سيشهد صيف عام 2020 إحالة لينكون MKZ للتقاعد واستبدالها بطراز آخر لإكمال مسيرة طرازات الصالون المتوسطة الحجم من لينكون وتلبية الطلب عليها.
لم تؤكد الشركة بعد أي تفاصيل تتعلق بتوفير الطراز الذي سيستلم الشعلة بعد من لينكون MKZ لكن تحوم الإشاعات حول الرغبة في إعادة تسمية زيفر “Zypher” للحياة مجددا بعد غياب طويل.
بخلاف شركة فورد التي تريد التخلص من كافة أشكال الهيكل التقليدية لصالح توسعة خيارات الكروس اوفر فإن لينكون تسعى للإستمرار في توفير طرازات الصالون التقليدية بسبب إدراكهم أنه لا يزال هناك من يريد هذه الفئة من السيارات.
بدأ طراز لينكون MKZ مسيرته على مدى جيلين، الأول جرى انتاجه في الفترة ما بين 2006 ولغاية 2012 فيما أن الجيل الثاني والحالي بدأ انتاجه منذ عام 2012 كطراز لعام 2013 وشهد عملية إعادة رسم للتصميم الخارجي تركزت في الجهة الأمامية منها.
في المقابل فإن تسمية زيفر التي تسعى الشركة لإعادة إحيائها جرى انتاج الطراز بذات الإسم في الفترة ما بين 1936 ولغاية 1942 أي في الفترة السابقة للحرب العالمية الثانية علما أنها كانت مزودة بمحرك V12 بسعة 4.4 ليتر.
من ضمن ما يميز طراز MKZ بجيله الحالي هو أنه يتوفر بعدة خيارات للمحركات أبرزها هو الهجين بسعة 2.0 ليتر والمكون من 4 إسطوانات وهو ما يساعد في توفير الوقود، يتصل هذا الخيار بعلبة تروس أوتوماتيكية من فئة CVT.
الخيارات الأخرى من المحركات هي أيضا بنزين بسعة 2.0 ليتر من فئة إيكوبوست ورباعي الإسطوانات، يتصل هذا الخيار بشاحن تيربو، يوجد كذلك خيار V6 بسعة 3.0 ليتر ويتصل بزوج من شواحن التيربو، كلا خياري المحركات يتصلان بعلبة تروس أوتوماتيكية مكونة من 6 نسب تساعد في توفير الأداء المرغوب للمحرك.
سيجري انتاج الطراز البديل عن لينكون MKZ اعتبارا من صيف عام 2020 وبيعه وتسويقه كطراز لعام 2021 لكن تسمية زيفر لم يتم اعتمادها بشكل رسمي بعد، سبق للشركة إعادة إحياء تسمية كونتينيتال اعتبارا من عام 2016 والذي يمثل الخيار الفاره من طرازات لينكون ويهدف إلى منافسة الطرازات الأوروبية من ذات الفئة “السيارات الفارهة”.
بالطبع ستحتوي السيارة القادمة التي ستسلم الشعلة من طراز MKZ على كافة وسائل الراحة والرفاهية وذلك بسبب أن علامة لينكون تهدف بالأساس لمنافسة كاديلاك.
