ماكلارين 720S إصدار لومان بعدد محدود: 50 وحدة فقط
ماكلارين 720S إصدار لومان هي إصدار محدود من ماكلارين والهدف من ذلك الإحتفال بمرور 25 عاما على الفوز بأحد أصعب سباقات التحمل وأشهرها وهو سباق 24 ساعة في لومان، سيتم انتاج 50 وحدة فقط.
لم تكتفي ماكلارين بإبهار عشاق السيارات عندما أطلقت طراز F1 عام 1992 الذي شكل ضجة كبيرة بل قامت أيضا بإدخالها للمشاركة في السباقات وتحديدا سباق التحمل الشهير 24 ساعة في لومان من خلال طراز F1 GTR-BMW ضمن فئة LMGT1 حيث أنها تمكنت من الفوز عام 1995 بجانب إحراز المركز الثالث والخامس والثالث عشر، تهدف ماكلارين 720S إصدار لومان للإحتفال باليوبيل الفضي لهذه المناسبة المميزة.
لم يتم إدخال أي تعديلات على الناحية الميكانيكية في هذا الإصدار من ماكلارين 720S ، يتكون المحرك من 8 إسطوانات بشكل V8 بسعة 4.0 ليتر ويتصل بشاحني تيربو، ناتج القوة يبلغ 720 حصان فيما أن عزم الدوران يصل لغاية 770 نيوتن متر، علبة التروس أوتوماتيكية مكونة من 7 نسب تمتاز بأنها ثنائية الكلتش تنقل القوة للعجلات الخلفية.
من ضمن ما يساعد في تمييز ماكلارين 720S إصدار لومان هو لون السقف الأسود اللامع كما أنه سيتم توفير خيارين من الألوان وهما البرتقالي والرمادي من فقط بجانب وجود شارة تحمل الرقم 25 على الجهة الخلفية من الجوانب للإشارة لهذه المناسبة المميزة.
تبرز أيضا العجلات ذات التصميم الخماسي الأذرع من ضمن المكونات المستلهمة من طراز F1 GTR وأيضا المرايا الجانبية كذلك مما يساعد في توفير طابع مميز للغاية يليق بسيارة ذات انتاج محدود علما أنه من الممكن أن تكون كافة السيارات من هذا الإصدار قد جرى بيعها مسبقا علما أن السعر يبلغ 319 ألف دولار.
يغلب اللون الأسود على المقصورة فيما يمكن ملاحظة وجود اللون البرتقالي أو الرمادي في أماكن محدودة مثل الجزء الوسطي من المقاعد ولوحة القيادة وجزء صغير جدا من بطائن الأبواب مما يضفي طابعا مميزا بجانب وجود شارة 25 على الأرضيات للدلالة على تميز هذا الإصدار.
من ضمن الميزات في مقصورة ماكلارين 720S والتي من ضمنها أيضا إصدار لومان هي لوحة العدادات التي يمكن إبرازها بشكل كامل أو الإكتفاء بعرض مؤشر لنظاق دورات المحرك ونسبة علبة التروس المختارة.
