تحديد موعد توقف انتاج سيارة فورد فيوجن الصالون بشكل نهائي
تم في وقت سابق الإعلان عن إحالة سيارة فورد فيوجن للتقاعد ضمن خطة شركة فورد للتخلص من أشكال الهيكل التقليدي إلا أنه جرى حديثا تأكيد الموعد النهائي لذلك.
سيتم خلال شهر تموز/يوليو لعام 2020 توقف انتاج نسخة الصالون من سيارة فورد فيوجن بشكل نهائي علما أنها من ضمن خيارات سيارات تطبيقات النقل الذكية المستخدمة بكثافة في الأردن حيث أن آخر نسخة انتاجية ستخرج من خطوط الإنتاج بتاريخ 21 من شهر تموز/يوليو لذات العام.
السبب في الإستعانة بهذه السيارة ضمن سيارات تطبيقات النقل الذكية المقصورة المريحة التي توفرها بجانب التكييف الفعال وأيضا التجهيزات التي تتوفر في المقصورة مثل المقاعد المهوأة وغيرها من تجهيزات الراحة.
ميكانيكيا تحتوي السيارة على محرك هايبرد مكون من 4 إسطوانات بسعة 2.0 ليتر قادر على انتاج 188 حصان عند عمل كلا المحركين معا وعزم دوران يصل لغاية 240 نيوتن متر، علبة التروس أوتوماتيكية من فئة CVT.
تحوم الإشاعات أن شركة فورد ترغب بإعتماد تسمية فيوجن لكن من فئة الكروس أوفر وتحديدا ستكون مزيجا ما بين سيارات الدفع الرباعي والستايشن واجن مما يلائم التوجه الحالي بالتوجه لطرازات الكروس أوفر بشكل أكبر بجانب طرازات الدفع الرباعي.
ليست سيارة فورد فيوجن بهيكل الصالون وحدها التي سيتم توقف انتاجها بل أيضا كلا من طرازي توروس وهو صالون أكبر حجما بجانب طراز فوكس من فئة الهاتشباك.
في مفارقة غريبة فإن طراز F-150 هو ربما الطراز الوحيد من فورد الذي لم تتأثر مبيعاته على مدى ما يزيد عن 70 عاما ولم يتم أبدا التخطيط لإيقاف انتاجه وذلك بسبب إمكانية الإعتماد عليه كوسيلة نقل وأيضا كسيارة توزيع المحاصيل والبضائع بجانب القدرة على تلبية متطلبات الزبائن وأيضا محركات قادرة على توفير الأداء المطلوب منها.
في السنة الإنتاجية الأخيرة من السيارة تم توفير 3 خيارات جديدة من الألوان وهي الكحلي والفضي والأحمر والتي بدورها تساعد على زيادة تميز السيارة مقارنة بغيرها من السنوات الإنتاجية السابقة، سيتم أيضا توفير قطع الغيار لفترة زمنية من أجل استمرار السيارة بالعمل قبل أن يتم لاحقا الإعلان عن توقف ذلك.
