يمتاز محرك LS الذي توفره جنرال موتورز بأنه يتمتع بحجم صغير تمكن مالكي السيارات من وضعه بسهولة داخل الهيكل في حال توفر الحيز الكافي لإستيعابه بجانب إمكانية انتاج جرعة إضافية من القوة عند إدخال التزويد الملائم.

تعرف على أغرب عمليات تركيب محرك LS :
1 – بي ام دبليو M3 فئة E46

على الرغم من أن المحرك في هذا الجيل من طراز M3 يتمتع بالقدر الملائم من القوة إلا أن ذلك لم يقنع مالكها، تم تركيب محرك LS7 بسعة 7.0 ليتر داخل الهيكل مع إدخال بعض التعديلات، النتيجة هي انتاج 650 حصان مع عزم دوران يصل لغاية 738 حصان مما يجعلها وحش لا يرحم الطرقات أو الحلبات، توفر هذا المحرك في طراز كورفيت Z06 من الجيل السادس “C6”.

2 – لامبورجيني ديابلو

يعد ذلك أكثر عمليات تبديل المحرك إثارة للإستغراب على الإطلاق بسبب أن محركات لامبورجيني تعد دائما الأقوى، تم تركيب محرك LS3 عوضا عن المحرك الأصلي والسبب في ذلك رغبة المالك في أن تصبح سيارة ديابلو تتمتع بقابلية أكبر للقيادة اليومية، تم التعديل المحرك لينتج 550 حصان عوضا عن 492 حصان.

3 – أوستن ميني

قد يستطيع البعض تقبل عملية إدخال محرك LS “LS1بسعة 5.7 ليتر في كلا السيارتين السابقتين لكن وجوده داخل هيكل سيارة مدمجة الحجم هو أكثرها غرابة على الإطلاق، الغاية من ذلك القيام بإستعراضات حرق إطارات أو دريفت وهو ما تستطيعه السيارة فعله بكل سهولة.

4 – بورشه 914

عادة تتسم محركات بورشه بالقوة المميزة لكن ذلك لم يقنع مالكها، تم وضع محرك LS1 بسعة 5.7 ليتر، من أجل تحمل الفارق الكبير جدا في ناتج القوة مقارنة بالمحرك القياسي تم تغيير العديد من المكونات والقطع لتحمل العزم الهائل والتي أيضا تضمنت تبديل العجلات بأكبر منها.

5 – شفروليه تاهو

قام أحد مالكي طراز تاهو يعود انتاجه لعام 1998 بوضع أحد أقوى محركات LS داخل هيكل سيارة دفع رباعي وهو تحديدا LS9 حيث أنه بسعة 6.2 ليتر ويتصل بشاحن سوبرتشارجر، بلغ ناتج القوة 627 حصان مما تطلب تبديل العديد من المكونات الميكانيكية الأخرى التي تتضمن نظام نقل حركة يتحمل العزم الهائل للمحرك الجديد وعلبة تروس أوتوماتيكية جديدة أيضا.

6 – فيراري 550 مارانيللو

تم شراء هذه السيارة بعد تضررها إثر تعرضها لفيضان نجم عن إعصار هارفي، لم يرق لمالكها أن يتم الزج بسيارة مميزة في ساحات الخردة بإنتظار بيعها كقطع غيار أو سحقها، تم تركيب محرك LSX مع التعديل عليه ليتمكن من انتاج 1000 حصان وهو ما يعد مصيرا لائقا لهذه السيارة.
7 – فولكس واجن بيتل
من ضمن أكثر عمليات تبديل المحرك غرابة هي وضع هذا المحرك داخل طراز بيتل لكن هذا ما حدث، تبلغ السعة 5.3 ليتر وهو من فئة LS4 مما يوفر أداء خارق بجانب وجود علبة تروس قادرة على تحمل هذا العزم.
