شفروليه كورفيت C8 تتسبب في اعتقال مهندسين من جنرال موتورز, لماذا؟
شفروليه كورفيت C8 هي الرد على مثيلاتها من السيارات الرياضية الأوروبية بسبب توفيرها أداء موازي بسعر يقل بفارق كبير كما أنها أول كورفيت بمحرك يحتل مكانه خلف المقاعد وليس أمامها لكن حتما قيادتها بتهور أمر غير مرغوب أبدا.
تسببت شفروليه كورفيت C8 بإعتقال اثنين من العاملين لدى مجموعة جنرال موتورز بسبب قيامهم بالتسابق على الطرقات العامة وعدم التقيد بتعلميات السلامة العامة مما دفع السلطات المحلية للقيام باللازم.
يحتوي الطريق على شاخصة تفيد بعدم تجاوز سرعة 45 ميل/س “72 كم/س” إلا أن كلا السيارتين جرى قيادتهما بفارق 27 ميل/س “43 كم/س” عن السرعة المقررة، نتيجة لذلك جرى اعتقال كلا من السائقين واحتجاز السيارات إلا أن جنرال موتورز قامت لاحقا بإستردادها بعد تسوية الأوضاع.
الناحية الإيجابية في الأمر هو أنه لم تتعرض أيا من سيارتي كورفيت C8 لأي حادث سير نجم عن فقدان السيطرة بسبب السرعة الزائدة إلا أنه لم يجري بعد تحديد الإجراء الذي ستتخذه جنرال موتورز بحق كلا من المهندسين اللذان قاما بالقيادة بتهور كبير جدا.
تتميز شفروليه كورفيت C8 بأنها أول جيل من طراز كورفيت تم تصميمه ليحتوي على المحرك بالوضعية الوسطية أي خلف المقاعد مباشرة على غرار كلا من فيراري ولامبورجيني علما أنه حرى انتاج عدة نماذج اختبارية سابقا تحتوي على المحرك بالوضعية ذاتها إلا أنها كانت تقابل بالرفض مباشرة.
تحتوي شفروليه كورفيت C8 على محرك مكون من 8 إسطوانات بشكل V8 بسعة 6.2 ليتر من فئة LT2 وهي المحركات المكونة بالكامل من الألمنيوم التي تنتجها جنرال موتورز كما أنها تمتاز بحجمها الصغير نسبيا مما يساعد على إدخالها لاحقا في هيكل أي سيارة أخرى تستطيع ذلك.
ينتج المحرك 490 حصان “495 لفئة Z51” مما يتيح تحقيق أداء لافت جدا ومميز بجانب عزم الدوران الذي يصل لغاية 637 نيوتن متر والذي يمكن من منافسة بورشه 911.
علبة التروس أوتوماتيكية مكونة من 8 نسب تمتاز بأنها ثنائية الكلتش مما يساعد في الحد من هدر الطاقة الموجهة للعجلات الخلفية كما يمكن التعشيق بشكل أوتوماتيكي وفقا لعدة وضعيات جسب ما يرغب به السائق أو التعشيق بشكل شبه يدوي من خلال المقابض خلف المقود، يجدر الذكر أن هذا هو أول جيل من كورفيت لن يتوفر بخيار علبة التروس اليدوية.
