تعود بداية توفير لامبورجيني لنظام الدفع الرباعي في أحد طرازاتها في الوقت المعاصر منذ تسعينيات القرن الماضي وتحديدا في طراز ديابلو VT بخياري الكوبيه والرودستر وهو ما شكل بداية هذا الخيار من أنظمة الدفع والذي أصبح لاحقا يتوفر قياسيا للمساعدة على التماسك والثبات.
تحتوي لامبورجيني هوراكان إيفو على محرك مكون من 10 إسطوانات بشكل V10 بسعة 5.2 ليتر من فئة السحب العادي، ناتج القوة يبلغ 610 حصان فيما أن عزم الدوران يصل لغاية 560 نيوتن متر لكن ذلك يتطلب تحلي السائق بالخبرة الكافية للسيطرة المطلوبة على السيارة والحد من إنزلاقها.
علبة التروس مكونة من 7 نسب تنقل القوة للعجلات الخلفية فقط كما أنها ثنائية الكلتش مما يساعد في الحد من هدر الطاقة قدر الإمكان، يمكن الإختيار من بين الوضعيات المثبتة مسبقا وهي التعشيق الآلي وفق للوضعية الإعتيادية أو الوضعية الرياضية كما يمكن اختيار التعشيق من خلال زوج المقابض خلف المقود.
يلائم خيار الدفع الخلفي من يريد وزنا أخف بالمقارنة مع خيار الإندفاع بالعجلات الأربعة لكن بالطبع يتم التضحية ببعضا من الثبات خاصة عند دخول المنعطفات بسرعة كبيرة، يناسب الخيار أيضا من يريد القيام ببعض استعراض التفحيط لكن بالطبع يجب التحلي ببعض الجرأة للقيام بذلك.
