قد يعتقد أن ارتفاع تكلفة البطارية بالمقارنة مع غيرها سيزيد من التكلفة لكن بالنظر إلى أنها تمكن من السير لغاية ما يقارب 1.92 مليون كم فإن ذلك يعتبر استثمارا جيدا على المدى البعيد قبل الحاجة للإستبدال.
