لا يزال فتيل المنافسة على لقب أسرع سيارة انتاج تجاري مشتعلا لكنه ضمن نطاق فئة قليلة جدا من الشركات التي تسعى لإثبات جدارتها من خلال هذه الغاية، شيلبي سوبركار تواترا تنطلق رسميا بعد طول انتظار.
جرى الكشف عن شيلبي سوبركار تواترا خلال فعاليات معرض فيلادلفيا للسيارات لعام 2020 والتي ستزيد من حدة المنافسة على لقب أسرع سيارة انتاج علما أن كلا من بوجاتي وكونيجسيج وهينيسي تقوم بشكل دوري باستعراض أحدث ما لديها من تقنيات.
تحتوي السيارة على محرك مكون من 8 إسطوانات بشكل V8 بسعة 5.9 ليتر ويتصل بزوج من شواحن التيربو، عند الإستعانة بوقود أوكتان 91 يبلغ ناتج القوة 1350 حصان فيما يرتفع الرقم لغاية 1750 حصان عند التزود بالوقود فئة E85 مما يجعلها بمثابة صاروخ أرضي بكل معنى الكلمة.

في المقابل يبرز تصميم الجهة الخلفية الذي يغلب عليه وجود شبكة التهوئة الكبيرة الحجم والغاية من ذلك هي المساعدة في إدخال أكبر كمية ممكنة من الهواء للمساعدة على تبريد المحرك وأيضا الجناح الخلفي الذي يتحرك بشكل آلي للمساعدة في تعزيز ضغط الجاذبية للأسفل عند الحاجة لذلك.
تمتاز مقصورة شيلبي سوبركار تواترا بأنها تحتوي على كامل وسائل الراحة والرفاهية مثل شاشة نظام المعلومات والتي تمكن السائق من مراقبة وظائف السيارة وأيضا يوجد نظام تكييف الهواء للحفاظ على الجو منتعشا داخل المقصورة.
