علبة التروس أوتوماتيكية مكونة من 10 نسب تقوم بنقل العزم للعجلات الخلفية فقط كما بمكن اختيار عدة وضعيات للبرمجة مثبتة مسبقا، مع هذا الجيل من كورفيت تم التخلي بشكل نهائي عن خيار علبة التروس اليدوية بسبب تدني الطلب عليها.
يتوفر طراز كورفيت C8 حاليا بخيارين من الهيكل، الأول هو كوبيه يمكن نزع جزء من السقف وتوضيبه في الجزء الخلفي من السيارة والخيار الآخر هو المكشوف مع سقف قماشي قابل للطي كهربائيا.
في ظل استمرار شفروليه كورفيت C8 هايبرد في حيز الإختبار فإنه لم يتم بعد اختيار التسمية بشكل رسمي بعد حيث من الممكن وجود تسمية تشير إلى وجود محرك هايبرد أو أنها نسخة جراند سبورت أو حتى Z06 فئة الأداء العالي لكن ذلك لم يتأكد بعد.
